Millennium Now - Celebrating the legacy of the Millennium

why now?

The Millennium Commission awarded £2.7 billion of Lottery money for projects to mark the new millennium.

A decade later, this investment has had a huge economic and social impact and created a legacy that has changed the face of the nation.

Now is the perfect time to celebrate the success of these projects and to have a public debate on how Lottery money should be used to have a lasting impact in the future.

You made The Big Decision

In October 2011 BIG and Channel 4 asked the UK public to decide on the five themes that best represent their priorities for Lottery funding over the next decade.

BIG is now looking to find five inspirational projects across the UK, each receiving up to £2 million from our Millennium Now programme. The winning projects will be filmed for a five-part series on Channel 4.
