Narrator: The Odyssey Arena in Belfast is a world-class sports and leisure venue where you can enjoy anything from Kylie to ice hockey.

Woman 1: It brings a lot of people into this area and also tourists from Scotland or people come up from Dublin as well for the wrestling if it’s not on down there. It does bring a lot of people here.

Man 1: I’ve been a couple of time, yeah. It’s a great arena. I haven’t been to see a lot of events, but I went to see Kylie Minogue and I think it was Tom Jones a few years ago…

Woman 1: I think it’s a good arena because whenever you’re sitting there, the stage is actually… you are never too far away from the stage.

Belfast’s Odyssey is helping renew the city’s waterfront with its combination of sports, music and science discovery centre

Over four million people have attended the 1,000-plus events at the Odyssey arena since it opened ten years ago, with sports fans packing the 10,000-seat venue for major boxing, basketball, tennis and wrestling matches and music fans enjoying international performers from Kylie to Clapton.

Odyssey is also the location of the interactive science and discovery centre W5 (as in: who, why, when, what, where) with nearly 200 interactive exhibits in four exhibition areas – Start, Go, See and Do.
